My Story

So I'm Lauren-Nicole Mayes, a 30 year old actress and writer from Blackpool currently living in Manchester. A keen runner but I have never done a marathon. before- Not one to stay in my comfort zone, i can't wait to tackle this challenge head on!

I am extremely passionate about the work APP are doing. Having seen first hand what new mothers experiencing this illness go through - I want to do everything in my power to raise awareness and fundraise for this incredible cause. I am currently trying to show the truth of PP across stage and screen within my writing as I feel it is underrepresented espeically in the arts.

This will be my hardest challenge to date but I couldn think of a more worthwhile cause. The work that APP do is nothing short of INCREDIBLE and i hope representing them as an ambassador at this years London marathon draws people to look at how brilliant they are and how important it is that we create safe spaces for those to go too when they recognise PP within themselves , friends or family members.

Heres too stepping out of comfort zones!
