My Story

I pledged to never run a marathon again after finishing my only other experience back in 2021. This changed in June 2023 when I lost my Dad to Bile Duct cancer. During our time at the hospital, my nephew Alex and I discussed doing something in Dad's memory, so decided to run the London Marathon 2024.
The plan was to run for one charity, however recently I lost a good friend of mine Claire Routledge to bowl cancer.
So firstly, I am fund raising for Global's Make Some Noise, a national charity that supports small charities looking after some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
Right now, there are many people across the UK living in crisis. Small charities are working hard in our communities across the country to support those in need, but they don't have enough resources to support people who are in need. That’s why this year alone, Global’s Make Some Noise is supporting at 100 small charities, including food banks, mental health and domestic violence helplines, carer support, community projects, employment programmes and many more.

I have a seperate link to raise money in Claire's name, which her family will decide to best use of this which i can share a link with you if you would rather donate for this cause.
