My Story

Welcome to my fund raising page for the TCS London Marathon 2024.

I'm honoured to have made the team raising much needed funds for the RFU Injured Players Foundation.

The IPF continue to support catastrophically injured players as well as investing in valuable research to expand the knowledge on how injuries occur, how they can be prevented and how we can help rehabilitate injured players. They offer immediate and lifelong support to players who sustain a catastrophic spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury at all levels of the game, and donate approximately £1,000,000 per year to improving their independence. The IPF still receives the RFU’s support but now reaches out to the whole rugby family to increase the funds and help available to the rugby community.

I have been so lucky to have played in more than 400+ senior games of rugby. Now my rugby career is coming to an end, I feel it's time to support a charity that has given so much assistance to a former team mate who suffered life changing injuries whilst playing.

Last year I managed to complete the Marathon Des Sables, but this will be fun first attempt at a road running distance and aim to beat 4hrs... which for my size won’t be an easy task. Hours of training will be completed in the coming months.

Thank you for your generosity - it's massively appreciated.
Liam
