My Story

Hi and welcome to my page!

This year I'm going to be running the London Marathon to raise money for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. I've always enjoyed Marathon day in London but usually on the other side of the barriers with a beer in hand, enjoying the sunshine. I always thought I was going to stay that side of the barrier, as I have never really been much of a runner. However last year decided that I needed to give myself a challenge that would take some will power and get me in good shape, so signed myself up for weeks of training and long runs in the rainiest, coldest and darkest months of the year... that should do it. Luckily 2 of my best mates, Cal and Will, agreed to run it with me so at least I won't be on my tod!

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is a local charity that is close to my family. Both my dad and my brother have run the London Marathon for Cherry Lodge, so it does feel like a right of passage! We all know how Cancer can effect people's lives and the lives of those around them; Cherry Lodge do lots of great work with cancer patients and their familes to provide care and additional services. It's an absolute pleasure to be able to do something like this and be able to raise money for such a good cause.

Also if you're free on the 21st of April, get yourself into town and get involved. I'd love to catch you for a beer afterwards, lord knows im going to need one.
