My Story

In April 2024 i will be running the london marathon for the charity mind, this will be a huge challenge for me as a few months ago i couldn’t even run 1k, so to think i will be running a marathon seems absolutely crazy!!

Mind is an incredibly important charity to me as i know how important it is to look after your mental health now more than ever. Having been through many of my own mental health problems over the years, i know first hand how hard it can be to reach out for support, but equally how important it is! I have dealt with depression, anxiety and self harm for over 6 years, but was denied help when i first asked for it because of my low risk at the time, but this needs to change, people shouldn’t have to wait until they reach crisis to be offered any kind of help. Over the years, my mental health struggles increased and i ended up in hospital after trying to take my life. After this, i was diagnosed with autism, which i believe a lot of my struggles stem from this, and through years of masking, i didn’t know who i truly was, i was a shell of myself, but this could have been prevented.
I believe that if i was given the correct support before this, i would never have had to reach this point.

This is why i am choosing to raise money for mind, so everyone has the access to the support then need and deserve, the wait needs to end.

Mental health problems can make you feel so incredibly alone, but nobody deserves to feel like this, and mind’s mission is to make sure nobody faces a mental health problem alone.

Mind supports so many people facing mental health difficulties, which is why i have chosen to raise money for them, as i know it’s for a good cause!

I would hugely appreciate any sized donation to help me fundraise for this important cause.

Everybody deserves help, so please help me to make this happen,
thank you, lil🤍

I DID IT!!! this was honestly the best day of my life, and i wish i could relive it a hundred times over, yes it was bloody hard at times, but the crowds are INSANE!!! (especially my supporters🤍🤍) i loved every second of today and i am so so grateful for everyone who came to watch and supported me throughout. my highlight was definitely tower bridge,  the crowds didn’t stop and really carried me through. i honestly can’t believe i did it, i had so many doubts about myself, and if i could even complete it, i thought i was too slow to run a marathon, that i hadn’t done enough training, and just that i just wasn’t capable. but i proved myself SO WRONG!!! i had a target of 6 hours, and i never thought i’d do it, but i completed in 5.40.36 (along with 8 pbs😌😌)!!! this feels so surreal, and is my greatest achievement in life so far, i couldn’t be prouder of myself, i gave it everything i had. and i’ve already signed up for next year🤣🤣thank you so much everyone for your endless support, and the biggest thank you to anyone who has donated, i am beyond grateful (it’s not too late to donate 😉😉)

words from mind...

Even though 1 in 4 people have mental health problems, most of us don’t get the help we need.

This has to change.

We’re Mind. We’re here to fight mental health. For support for respect, for you.

We change minds across England and Wales by making mental health an everyday priority. By standing up to the injustices – in healthcare, in work, in law – which make life harder for those of us with mental health problems.

We support minds – offering help whenever you might need it through our information, advice and local services.

And we connect minds. Bringing together an unstoppable network of individuals and communities – people who care about mental health to make a difference.

Join us in the fight for mental health. We won’t stop until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
