My Story
I have been applying to the London Marathon ballot for the last 15 years after watching it whilst at the gym running on a treadmill. Luckily enough I didn’t get in at that time as then I didn’t know how different it was to run on the roads from a treadmill.
Watching the runners inspired me to want to run a marathon, however it took me until 2017 until I signed up for my first half marathon which was the Royal Parks. It was only when training for this that I found running outside was totally different to in a gym.
However, this is where my running journey really began, since then I have run Milton Keynes Marathon twice, but my real aspiration is to complete London Marathon being that this is one of the largest marathons in the UK.
What better way to achieve my goal then helping to raise money for a fantastic charity called The Essex Disabled Sports Foundation. This is a local charity to myself who provides sports equipment, coaching, tuition, and opportunities for disabled children.
For these children taking part in sports increases their self-confidence, physical development, and self-esteem.
Please help me raise money for this amazing charity by donating to my enthuse page, using the link provided.
I will also be looking to hold a quiz night, so keeps your eyes peeled for a date.
