My Story

Hi everyone, Thank you for visiting my fundraising page..

Yesterday I completed the London marathon in memory of my gorgeous cousin Morgan Emma Davies who we lost to meningitis nearly 7 years ago.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I miss that girl, I miss her crazy laugh, her beautiful singing voice, her warm hugs, her pinching my perfume and chatting away to me as I was getting ready to go for a night out! Just everything!

Yesterday as I was running I felt an overwhelming sense of emotion, as I ran I just kept bursting into tears! Alls I could think was I will finish this I’m doing it for Morgan. I hadn’t trained enough, my hips were in agony but there was no way I wasn’t finishing what i had started. Through the sheer love I have for Morgan I did it! And I’m so proud of myself for that!

As I sit here now and reflect on yesterday, no family should ever have to lose a child or loved one to meningitis, something that takes hold so quickly and doesn’t even give you chance to say goodbye or process what’s actually happening at the time. I remember it like it was yesterday. I didn’t believe what I was being told in my mind she was going to wake up and give me a cheeky smile and giggle. Still to this day I cannot believe this happened to such a beautiful person.

If you can please please donate, I am so grateful to each and everyone of you that has donated so far.

Thank you all so much xxx

Morgan was just 18 years old and had her whole life ahead of her, She had just finished college and was excited to start university and her dream was to join the police.

She started to feel unwell and thought it was just a bad cold, if we had known the symptoms of Meningitis sooner then she might still be here today, Morgan passed away on the 12th May 2017,  this completely devasted our family. Morgan was the life and soul of the party and was such a beautiful person inside and out.

Morgans organs were donated and she saved/improved the lives of 7 others. She really was amazing!

I applied for a place through Menigitis Now to run the london Marathon, completely didnt expect to get one. For those of you that know me i am not a runner so this is going to be the biggest challenge of my life!!

I have a minumum fundraising target of £2000 but obviously i would love to raise much much more!!

So please donate, no matter how big or small your donations are greatly appreciated.

Thank You
