My Story

Put your pork scratchings down because I'm running the London 2024 marathon!

In August 2021 our daughter, Hazel, was born with Microphalmia, a rare condition that resulted in the underdevelopment of her right eye, leaving her without sight in that eye as well as further complications.

Despite this, Hazel has been an incredible source of inspiration. Her strength, happiness and resilience have completely inspired me to raise funds for MACS.

MACS is the leading charity in the UK dedicated to supporting children who are born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes. Through their invaluable work, MACS has positively impacted the lives of over 3,000 individuals from 1,000 families across the country.

By supporting my fundraising efforts, you will be making a significant difference in the lives of these children and their families.

I always want Hazel (and others) to know that there is an incredible story waiting to be written by them, no matter what start they've had to life.

Thank you for your generosity and see you at the finish line with a glass of much needed vino.

Cheers - Luke
