My Story

Thank you for supporting me and JDRF. So on Sunday (21st April 2024) both myself and my son Thomas ran the TCS London Marathon !!! massive struggle for me as I cramped up through lack of training due to injury but I was never going to miss out on this great day and helping JDRF as I have been a Type 1 Diabetic #T1D since 1979 and JDRF is at the forefront of new treatments and the eventual cure of this debilitating desease. JDRF can only do this work with money from donations.

Please click on the JDRF link to see the fantstic work this charity does. Type 1 Diabetes mostly comes on in childhood and stays with the sufferer for their entire life. JDRF is easing the daily struggle diabetics face with innovative technical advances and the charity's stated goal of curing the disease is genuinely getting nearer.
