My Story
The London Marathon is an event I have wanted to run in for at least 10 years. I am delighted to have finally been able to get a place, even more so to participate in it while supporting an amazing charity, Ambitious about Autism.
As well as our own personal experience of having a child who is autistic in the family, I also have friends and colleagues in similar situations, facing the various challenges that can come with it. Ambitious about Autism does amazing work helping to support parents and care-givers of autistic kids, providing access to educational tools and schools, as well as giving advice about future employment. It also regularly commissions autism-related research and campaigns. Their presence and assistance is consistently helping those that need it so I couldn't be more proud to be part of the Ambitious about Autism London Marathon 2024 team.
Any donation would be hugely appreciated, it really is a fantastic cause. This is only my second attempt at a marathon, based on the first one I know it is going to hurt quite a bit (and probably cost me at least a couple of toe nails), but doing it for this charity will definitely continue to spur me on during the training and on the day. Thanks in advance for any support you can offer.
