My Story
I'm a 27 Italian ski instructor and a Mechatronic Engineer. I'm loud, full of energy and super extrovert.
I come from a very small town in the middle of Italian Alps. It’s a wonderful niche, a magic bubble, the only place I call HOME... my sweet PRAGELATO!
My life had highs and very deep lows but overall I feel very lucky.
In the past years I questioned my self a lot about what was my purpose in this world. I traveled, met incredible people, and visited amazing places. But to understand who I truly wanted to be I also spent a huge amount of time on my own which was helpful, but tough...
Today if you ask me who I am and who I want to be, I would tell you:
I'm a learner, a great student and I love to teach everything I know, to explain people that everything is possible and give them the chance to access the same opportunities I struggled to get!
I met incredible people with an amazing potential that have no my same luck and where not able to have access to the opportunity that could boost their potential.
For those reasons I decided to challenge myself and run the London Marathon next April, in less then 4 hours.
In this challenge I'll run with MENCAP which help people with LEARNING DISABILITIES, a topic I really care about since in the past years I had the opportunity to help different kids whom where having difficulties with the usual learning processes provided by the school system.
Right now, people with a learning disability face inequalities in every area of life with almost 1 in 3 young people with a learning disability spending less than 1 hour outside their home on a typical Saturday.
They face barriers finding a job, accessing activities in their local community and receiving good quality healthcare. Mencap tackle these issues head on by providing support in a way that meets individual needs and encourages greater independence.
They give expert advice and information that empowers people and their families. And campaign relentlessly for changes that brings greater equality for people with a learning disability.
By supporting Team Mencap we will be helping them to support people with a learning disability to LIVE THE LIFE THEY CHOOSE, and DO THE THINGS THEY LOVE.
I strongly believe that everything is possible if you get the right tools!
And remember (my mantras):
- FUOCO ALLE MICCE
- LITTLE BY LITTLE
- ANCHE OGGI C'È IL SOLE
- GO BIG OR GO HOME
un super abbraccio
