My Story

I have set myself the challenge of running the 2024 London Marathon to raise money for Operation Smile.

Operation Smile is an inspiring charity which transforms the lives of children born with cleft conditions around the world. For just £150 Operation Smile provides life-changing surgery for a child. I have set the fundraising target of £2550 which would give 17 children a new smile and a new hope for a better, brighter future. I am so grateful for your support – this money will change the lives of these 17 children forever.

Children born with cleft conditions can have difficulties breathing, eating and speaking. In the countries where Operation Smile works, they have limited access to treatment and are often malnourished, bullied and isolated. Operation Smile provides free, life-changing surgery, mobilising medical volunteers and local medical personnel, as well as partnering with local hospital and governments, to ensure that safe surgery is a right for everyone in need, not a privilege.
