My Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our fundraising page.

Becky and I have been friends for 40 years and together we are hoping to raise as much money as we can for Breast Cancer Now.Breast Cancer Now is a brilliant charity which not only supports women with breast cancer, but also funds world-class breast cancer research.

In January 2023 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. As many women will sadly know, this is a very scary time not only for you, but also for family and friends.Breast Cancer Now provided me with invaluable support and advice through my diagnosis and treatment. The charity also provided me with an amazing community in which women are able to support each other by sharing their stories and experiences.

I underwent my treatment for breast cancer during 2023 and am now in the process of recovery.A big part of my recovery has involved getting out in the fresh air and running.I always said I would love to do the London Marathon before turning fifty and as Becky and I both turn 49 in 2024 we figured this was the ideal time. Most importantly we wanted to do something together to give back to this amazing charity.

We know this will be an enormous challenge, but we are looking forward to it and would really appreciate any help you can give towards our fundraising goal.

Thank you so much for your support
