My Story
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Runners have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
This year I am joining the IHG running team to support our partner CARE International in their disaster relief efforts.
You can help me with a contribution toward my pledge! No matter how big or small, every contribution counts!
In my 20 years in hospitality I have been privileged to travel and live abroad, and immersing in local community and culture.
But through my work I have also experienced many disasters, from natural catastrophes such as earthquakes in Nepal or floodings in Egypt, to civil unrests in Bahrain or war such as the Russian invasion in Ukraine.
During this time CARE International was always there for our colleagues, their families and the community providing quick disaster relief and helping IHG in our mission to provide True Hospitality for Good, and to rebuild hope.
I want to do my part in running for CARE, and count on your support to help me and the wider IHG team do just that.
