My Story
"125 lives are lost every week to suicide and 75% of all suicides in the UK are male. Suicide is the biggest killer in amongst men under 50 and is on a rapid raise in women under 24"
On 22nd April 2023, I lost my brother to suicide. Aaron was one of the most vibrant and out going people I have ever known. This year, in honour of his memory and to support a fantastic charity, I will be taking part in the London Marathon.
CALM have provided help and guidance in the tough days that have passed since Aaron's death. They have been at the end of the phone when life hasn't made sense or when there was no answer to the reason why.
As little as £8 could not only support families that are dealing with the loss of a loved one by suicide but could also provide a potentially life-changing phonecall for anyone who is facing challenging times.
As part of my fundraising, I am auctioning off miles in memory of someone who was taken too soon. Each mile cost £5, which is enough to fund 10 WhatsApp conversations. The loved ones name will then be stitch to my vest. Please comment when donating, name and mile.
