My Story

After needing to defer last year thanks to injury, I'M BACK! Now training for the 2025 TCS London Marathon as part of Epilepsy Society's Team Purple!

Running the marathon has always been on my bucket list, but it's always been veeeerry far-fetched. Currently I struggle to run 5K, sooo that's where I'm starting this from. But I'm determined to run in memory of my cousin, David, who struggled with epilepsy and who we lost earlier this year. I actually signed up for the run on what would have been his 26th birthday. I'll also be running in honour of my Dad, who has suffered the challenges of epilepsy for at least the last 15 years.

Epilepsy is so much more than just the unpredictability of having a seizure and comes with a whole host of horrible symptoms and added difficulties. It can feel like a never ending rollercoaster of new challenges to overcome and it truly turns your entire life upside down. I've seen first-hand what it can do to a person and a family. So I'm going to try and do one little bit of good, hopefully raise some awareness, and some money for a brilliant charity.

Epilepsy Society's vision is for a world where epilepsy is irrelevant, and people with epilepsy lead the lives they want to lead. It's enacting change through world-leading research, advocacy and care. Any donation you can give will help them to continue their incredible work and will spur me on throughout my training. Basically, knowing that I'm raising money for them in honour of David and my Dad is the only thing that's going to get me through this. So if you can spare a coffee and donate (or contribute something larger if you're able) my whole heart (and sore body) will be grateful.

Thank you so much for your support (I'm going to need it).
