My Story

On Sunday 21st April 2024 i am running the london marathon for Age UK. Age uk is the countrys leading charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. They provide companionship, advice and support for older people who need it most.

I have personally had previous experiences with Age UK, I used to take my grandma to Age UK in Herne bay. I personally had some wonderful meals with my grandma there also, my grandma used to enjoy the company there with people of her own age having a good laugh and playing games as well as the exercises that the centre put on for the elderly people to keep them moving and motivated. I personally believe that the staff at Age UK in Herne bay did and most likely still do an excellent service for the elderly people, all friendly and welcoming staff. My mother also worked within Age UK in Herne bay for some time and that has given me the extra push from the experience she had working there, she had so much backing from staff as well as management for the great work that was being inputted towards the elderly people.

Our elderly people in the country deserve to have something back to them for all the years they have put into our country and all their hard work. Keep them motivated and get them out the house for a bit of rest bite to enjoy some games and laughter.

Any donations would be gratefully appreciated so they can continue the support they give!
