My Story

“In April 2024 I will be taking part in the world-famous London Marathon on behalf of St Basils Homeless Charity.

St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to enable them to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills, increase opportunities.

I've been running since I was a kid and over the last few years I've started to push myself with the help of others to increase my distance. I've done loads of half's and two marathons however they've never gone exactly how I wanted them to. It feels like everything has been building to London to be honest.

I've wanted to do it since I was little and I would watch the coverage on the BBC and think, what a courageous stupid thing to do!

So it's my turn! 🤢

The best way I can tell you why I'm running for St Basils is here in this video...

Please help me raise vital funds to prevent vulnerable young people facing the terrible threat of homelessness.

Experiencing homelessness or the threat of it is a huge shock, no one plans for it and it can be very frightening and devastating.

Currently, St Basils accommodates 600+ young people across 40+ projects, and it costs the charity £8.93 per person, per day in order to support every young person that needs your help.

A note from St Basils...

A huge thank you to this years Team St Basils who has chosen to take on the London Marathon to help raise funds for our cause. We’re so grateful for not only your support, but for all the donations given by friends, family and colleagues which will help us continue our vital work within the West Mids.
