Nicholas Andrews running for the Whittington Health Charity
Nicholas Andrews
My Story
I hate running, but I love a good cause. In 2024, I have committed to running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Whittington Health Charity, a really personal cause that I hope you can get behind and support with a donation.
In 2023, some challenging circumstances had me spending a series of weeks in and out of Whittington Hospital. I saw how brilliant the hospital is and what it does for its community and patients. The medical and support staff work hard, long hours with limited resources to keep us safe and happy when we need them. Whittington is just one of so many NHS hospitals doing this excellent and tough work, so I want to support in my own way.
This is how I find myself running for the dedicated charity for Whittington NHS Trust that enhances the quality of care and experiences for for patients and staff by funding projects that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide.
I don't love running, but I have run marathons before and I think that this is a way to shine a light on what Whittington and other NHS hospitals do, and hopefully raise funds to support projects that will make a real, positive impacts for NHS patients and staff. I hope that you will consider making a donation to support this cause and join me on the journey!
