Supporting the North London Hospice
Nick Dines
My Story
I am running the London Marathon on behalf of the North London Hospice.
Anyone who has experienced the care provided to a loved one at a Hospice will know words can never give justice to the work undertaken by all those involved with end of live care.
The North London Hospice covers Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, caring for over 3,500 patients with a life-limiting illness every year.
To do this costs £15.9m a year, with 40% of the money coming from the NHS. The rest comes from donations and fundraising.
The day care centre in Enfield is literally at the end of my road and on all my training runs I go past it and feel gratitude for those who work there and at the Barnet inpatient facility: I don’t think I could do it and it makes me grateful that there are people in our community who do.
If you are able to sponsor me and help the Hospice continue to provide care for those in need, you can do so on this page
