My Story

I am Ukrainian and proud to be a Marine of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

My brothers-in-arms are defending the front-line on a left bank of the Dnipro river in Kherson region.

After my injury and amputation I act as an instructor, I help my brothers-in-arms and train Marine Corps servicemen.

In 2020, as a platoon commander, I went to the East of Ukraine to defend the homeland from the invaders.

In 2022, during a combat mission, I stepped on a mine and lost my lower limb. I had 9 surgeries: "During the entire treatment I thought about only one thing - If it does not break me mentally, then nothing in the world will."

After 2 months I started walking on a prosthesis, and in another month started to run, skate and ride a bike.

We are running 2024 London Marathon as a TEAM of the UKRAINIAN MARINES.

I am running 2024 London Marathon to support as many as possible seriously injured brothers-in-arms with amputations through the grassroots charity British-Ukrainian Aid https://www.british-ukrainianaid.org/ and Citizen Charity Foundation https://ctzn24.com/

My goal is to share awareness and raise funds for seriously injured Ukrainian servicemen who have lost limbs.

I ask all people, who care and understand what we are fighting for, to support in sharing and fundraising.

I raise funds for the long-term care for Oleksander Vykhruk  https://ctzn24.com/en/project/soldier-oleksandr-vykhruk-long-term-care-special-project

I collect for prosthetics for a Ukrainian soldier Mykhailo Yurchuk - call sign STALKER https://ctzn24.com/en/hero/91
