On April 21^st 2024, I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of the fantastic charity REDRESS.

REDRESS is an international human rights organisation that enables survivors of torture to bring legal cases to obtain justice and reparations for the violation of their rights, which is essential to their journey of recovery, and advocates for legal and policy reforms that deter its use around the world.

The release of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe after six years of arbitrary detention in Iran and following years of advocacy by REDRESS, has highlighted the wider issue of individuals being detained and ill-treated abroad.

I have witnessed first-hand the vital work REDRESS undertakes and the invaluable support the charity provides to survivors of torture at the times they need it most. I can’t promise the quickest of marathon times but I am so pleased to be doing my very small part to be supporting such a fantastic charity and its essential work.
