My Story

Hi, this will be my first Marathon and, coincidentally, it falls on my 60th Birthday, so I had to do it!

My daughter, Chloe, suggested St John Ambulance because she is working on a safety project for University students with the National Justice Museum in Nottingham. This will coming in September 2024, and they suggested to her that, as part of the Project, she could fundraise for an ambulance to be on duty in the city centre during Freshers week. As Chloe also runs her charity called DRIPPYlikeDANNY (a clothing line charity set-up in memory of her brother, Danny, who was a victim of knife-crime), 100% of all sales from there, will go towards fundraising for St John Ambulance.

I am also running it in memory of my son, Danny, who was murdered in Amsterdam on 1st June 2022, and was in his final year of university at Leeds Beckett Uni.

Many thanks for reading this, and, if you donated, thank you very much.
