My Story

Hi all,

I have chosen Alzheimer's Research UK as if you didn't know both my paternal and maternal Grandfathers suffered immensely with the disease. 

Both my Grandfathers were military men (one in the Royal Engineers and the other in the Shropshire Light Infantry who had a role in the D-Day landings). They were men of honour and I am so proud to be their Granddaughter. 

Alzheimer's is not something I would wish on my worst enemy and for that reason I want to raise as much as I can by running the marathon. 

This is not a small task for me as I love my running club but certainly am not accustomed to running marathons and it will be my first but I feel I owe it to my grandparents to do this.
