Rhys Griffiths' MND Fund Raising Page

My Story
In support of friend and ex-teammate Jason Bowen's battle with Motor Neurone Disease, I have committed to running the London Marathon on April 21st 2024. It'll be my first marathon. In addition I've also signed up for Newport a week later as a back up or hopefully to do both.
Strides are being made in the research trying to rid the world of this horrible disease, and more investment in research can only help advance treatments and understanding.
I want to raise as much money as possible, and so whilst I respect that even finishing a 26.2 mile run is an achievement and not guaranteed, I am committed to working as hard as I can to try and go under the illustrious 3 hour barrier. Standing in my way are the fact that I'll 44 by the time the race starts, i'll probably still be over 14 stone, and my calf's will still be made of poppadoms! Nevertheless, I'm going to give it my best shot in hope that the dedication I'll have to show to even go close, will entice people to give a little more. I will post runs on social media between now and April 21st to show how my training is going. In the meantime, please donate as much as possible in support of Bows and everyone else fighting against MND.
Thank you in advance. Griff
