My Story
WildFish is a charity that works to protect our native fish and the waters that they live in.
They tackle issues affecting river health and biodiversity, notably open-net salmon farming, sewage discharge into waterways, pollution and water supply management.
They have many effective campagins including Smart Rivers, Off the Table, and the Riverfly Census - all of which help contribute to the protection of our fish and their waters. On top of this the team lobby, campaign and litigate where they can to help the cause.
I am running for this charity as I firmly believe that without action we will lose a number of species that are key to the biodiversity of our waters, the knock-on effect of which will be devastating to the broader environment of our shores and rivers.
I am not a runner, but am forcing myself to become one over the course of the next few months.
As a salmon runs up stream - I will be running around the streets in preparation. Please let me know if you have any questions on the charity, or have any advice to offer!
