My Story

On Sunday 21st April 2024, I'll be running the London Marathon to raise funds for The Spring Centre, a wonderful charity based in Gloucestershire, England. For nearly 40 years, it has worked to help young adults & children with additional needs reach their full potential and lead more independent lives.

I want to support The Spring Centre as I'm aware of the importance that it provides in offering a safe social space to meet-up in real life; having experienced second hand the benefits that regular scheduled meet-ups have had on a close personal friend of mine with autism.

And if you need a bit more of encouragement to sponsor me, there is one additional perk that comes from sponsoring a ginger person…hear me out on this one…

Not only would you be ensuring that I receive a much needed healthy dose of Vitamin D, but you’ll be helping yourself out when following the coverage on TV.

Most people struggle to spot which of the 40 Grand National Horses they’ve backed, let alone who they’ve sponsored in the London Marathon given the thousands of participants. Sponsoring a ginger person eradicates this fear. No longer will you be spending hours searching through the sea of dark brown hair when all you’re looking for is a golden beacon determinedly trudging ever-so-slowly home.

So please do donate, any donation will be much appreciated and you can rest easy knowing The Spring Centre will make sure every penny goes a long way in supporting the community of Gloucestershire.

Thanks,
Rob
