My Story

I feel absolutely honoured to be running the 2024 London Marathon for MS Society. As a child, I spent a lot of time with my Nan and Grandad, after school and summer holidays, baking and cooking, watching her make cards and intricately crafting. When Nan was diagnosed with MS, we watched her fine motor skills gradually deteriorate which was heartbreaking for us all. As an adult, I helped my Dad to move them into and adapt their bungalow to help Nan live as easy a life as possible. She was very lucky to have the support of my Grandad but some people aren't that fortunate. As they both got older, it became much harder for Grandad to care for Nan, especially when she became wheelchair bound. The MS Society help both the families and loved ones as well as MS sufferers themselves with emotional support, every day living and a carers helpline as well as funding research.

I'm running the marathon in loving memory of my amazing Nan. I like to think she, and my Grandad would be very proud of this wonderful opportunity for an incredible cause.

So please donate anything you can so we can help support more families like ours.
