My Story
This is my second attempt at the London marathon... my first ended before it even began with an injury just 4 weeks before the event over 10 years ago!
I am determined to make it to the start line in 2024 however and I am running in memory of my dear friend Mandy. She was amazing, caring, inspirational and a truly supportive friend to me and many others and mother to three fabulous daughters and much loved wife. Mandy was cruelly taken by brain cancer in September 2014 at the age of 57.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Treatments for this type of cancer have changed very little over the years and I and other runners for this incredible charity want to make a difference and would be so grateful if you could support us by donating to this page.
I'm doing this for Mandy and for the many others who are suffering or who have suffered and are desperately searching for new treatments.
