My Story

I am a mix of determination, fear and high anticipation to run the 2024 London Marathon to raise funds for Naomi House and Jack's Place.  As I prepare to tackle the 26.2 miles on the 21st April 2024, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to make a difference at a local charity, where I also work as a volunteer.

With every step of training and on the big day too, I'll be reminding myself of those who benefit from the truly amazing work of Naomi House & Jack's Place: hospices which support life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults and families with individualised care that helps to enhance short lives.

I am very proud to wear the running vest of this charity and I am dedicated to making a positive impact for Naomi House & Jack's Place. I'm reaching out to family and friends to support me in this marathon and to directly contribute to the incredible work at the hospices.

Your generosity can help propel me toward the finish line and more importantly to provide crucial support to Naomi House.

One final note: I wouldn't want anyone who is kind enough to support my fundraising efforts to be in any doubt about my running ability.  I am not an accomplished runner!  I run-walk-run at quite a slow pace; the thing is, I am mega-determined to finish the London Marathon and ask that any donation you feel able to give reflects my dedication to doing my best for a charity that I wholeheartedly support.  Thank you, thank you, thank you..every pound counts - just like every step.
