My Story
Hello friends, I’ll be running (or trying to run) the London marathon on the 21st April 2024 for Alzheimer’s Society.
I’ll be running in memory of my Mama who sadly died in April this year. Mum to eight and grandma to seventeen, she was loved by many and ran two London marathons herself in 1987 and 1988.
Watching her go through the challenges of Alzheimer’s was tough for all of us. So I’m honoured to be running for this fantastic cause to help those suffering with Alzheimer’s and provide the much needed funds for research to enhance diagnosis, develop new treatment and improve the care and support for people living with the disease.
It’s predicted that as many as 1 in 3 lives will be affected by Alzheimer’s by 2040, so any donations are greatly appreciated.
