Scooby Does London!

My Story

Running, as always, in memory of my beautiful boy.

This day was always going come ever since I donned the Scooby suit for the very first time. Scoobs debuted at the British 10K back in 2017 running a respectable 55m 44s (British 10K). Six years later he came out of retirement as a last minute entrant to the Royal Parks Half Marathon, finishing in 2h 16m 55s (Royal Parks Half). Finally, on 21st April 2024 Scoobs journey will be complete as he takes on the big one, the 44th London Marathon.

Adam loved Scooby Doo. We had all the DVD movies and would watch them together. I imagine him telling me I look ridicleous before the race, and asking me if I won after it ... before telling me I was rubbish because I didn't. Bittersweet memories.

P.S. I'm slightly worried having revisited my 10K and half-marathon posts about how hard I found them both!
