My Story

15th Feb'18!... A day I will never forget 😭

As I sat down to read Myla a bedtime story I got a phone call from my dad to say "can you go to the house, Brynn won't wake up! Rio has just found him!"

The next thing I remember is being at my dads house, it was swarming with police and paramedics. This was a nightmare that I could not wake up from.

Brynn had an epileptic seizure and had been in the bath at the time. The followin hours were a blur but the next thing I remember is standing outside the hospital on the phone to Michelle screaming and sobbing "he has gone!"

Brynn was not just the life and soul of a party, HE WAS THE PARTY! Even now, as I tap this on the screen, I still cannot believe he's gone.

Leaving behind a family that loved him and a daughter that was his everything! We will never understand why Brynn was taken so young, life has never been the same but I hope he is lighting up the eternal party that he is at now, Banks in one hand Pandan cake in the other.

Now it's my turn to do something in his memory, I will be running the London marathon in April. I don't want anyone to have to go through what we had to suffer. Epilepsy took a Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle and friend from us all that night so I want to raise money for the very charity that helps others with this cruel condition.

With your help I want to raise £2,000 for the Epilepsy Action charity. Epilepsy is one of the most common serious neurological conditions in the world. It affects around 630,000 people in the UK alone.

This means that around 1 in 100 people in the UK have epilepsy. Around 80 people are diagnosed with epilepsy in the UK every day.

Any donation would be gratefully received, thank you in advance and feel follow me on Facebook to see my training journey.
