My Story

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page - I really appreciate it.

On Sunday 17th January 2021 my life changed...

My Grandfather unfortunately passed away!

I was very close to my grandfather and was very lucky to live near by, which allowed me to see and speak with him every week. On the Sunday, I received a call saying I need to come as soon as possible as my grandfather wasn't in a good way. When arriving at his property, the Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) and the doctors were there trying to resuscitate him as he had a heart attack, but after 40 minutes of trying, they made the decision to stop.

My grandfather was a very active gentleman, he made sure he exercised everyday to keep fit and young. I have been running on and off for many years and now I'm looking to run my FIRST ever FULL marathon, to say thank you to the team at EHAAT. This is also one of my life-long goals and I feel very lucky to have a place at the London Marathon!

The EHAAT aim is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury, by delivering a first class pre-hospital emergency medical service to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

The average cost per mission is £2,200. As they are a charity, they rely on the generosity of people and businesses to keep saving lives. They receive NO gvernment funding which makes 'saving lives' even more challenging.

No matter how small or large the donation, every penny counts!

All your support will mean the world to me and EHAAT.
