My Story

To give some context, and as many of you may already know, in October 2016 my sisters and I lost our beloved brother Theo in a tragic accident. Theo was an exceptionally intelligent, funny, and unaffected person as well as an adored brother, son and friend. He died two months before his twenty-first birthday whilst in his third week at Uni. With his whole future ahead of him, the loss is both a personal tragedy and a huge waste of potential. 

Needless to say, our family was left heart-broken and it's been a long and difficult process putting the pieces back together. Winston's Wish is a charity which supports similarly bereaved families with particular focus on helping children and young adults. By raising money and awareness for Winston's Wish, I, with the support of my family, hope to help lessen the pain and suffering of families experiencing similar loss to ours. 

In Theo's memory, and to help support families like mine, I will be running the London Marathon on 21st April 2024. As most people reading this will know, running doesn't exactly come naturally to me - i remember getting into an argument during school cross country because I didn't want to/couldn't run 2 miles... but, I am going to do my absolute best to get across that finish line on 21st April, for Winston's Wish and for my big brother!
