My Story
I am raising money for the British Dyslexia Association, by taking part in the London marathon
Please sponsor me, if you can.
A donation, big or small, will make a huge difference to the BDA and help to create a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.
I was ‘diagnosed’ with dysleixa earlier this year - far too many students are making it to university before getting the necessary support very few understand the challenges dyslexic people face with many just writing it off as being bad at reading or writing, or being unacademic.
6.3 million people (around 10% of the UK population) have dyslexia.
1 in 6 adults has the reading level of an 11-year-old.
It is estimated that between 30-50% of the uk prison population are dyslexic
Unemployment for people with dyslexia and other learning difficulties runs at between 30% and 40%
Please help donate so that we can improve outcomes for the many dyslexic people like myself and ensure that both adults and young people with dyslexia get the support they need.
Thanks so much.
