Running for all the tiny tickers!!!

My Story
As a child I was seen under the paediatric cardiology team at Leeds Children’s Hospital myself, as my dad has a congenital heart disease called Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. At the time I didn't realise how important a charity like CHSF could have been on my journey as a child even as an outpatient.
Having then worked at Leeds Children's Hospital cardiac ward and PICU for the last 3 years I have seen first hand how this amazing charity helps to support and care for all our cardiac patients and families whilst in hospital with accommodation, travel and food expenses but also at home with support groups, fundraising events and home monitoring equipment. The CHSF and some of the fundraising they do goes towards providing us at the hospital with new machinery like ECHO machines and a new hybrid cardiac catheter theatres so we can provide better care for all our patients.
I'm running the London Marathon for all those babies, children, teenagers and adults living with heart conditions, but also for all those angels who we couldn't save but who with CHSF's help it made the experience that little bit more bareable. Being able to fundraise towards this amazing charity and see first hand how the money is used.
The end of last year confirmed to me how amazing a charity like this is when my best friend from university had a baby (my beautiful goddaughter) who shortly after birth was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition of Ebsteins Anomaly. An extra personal drive for this marathon and fundraising for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.
Any little help makes a difference ❤️
