My Story
On 21st April 2024, I'll be running the London Marathon with #TeamSamaritans in memory of my beloved cousin, and dear friend, Richard.
Richard was a remarkably thoughtful and caring individual, who brightened up the lives of all that knew him. A loving brother, son, uncle, and partner, losing Richard was a great tragedy for us all. It's truly a special honour to be running in his memory.
Having suffered first-hand the realities of anxiety and depression, Richard was a great supporter of the Samaritans. Richard spent countless days and nights on the phone, speaking to those who needed support, saving many lives in the process. By fundraising in his memory, I hope to continue his work, and support a charity that meant so much to him.
Every pound raised will help train more volunteers, answer more calls for help and, ultimately, save lives. I'm running with the official Charity of the Year for the 2024 TCS London Marathon, to show millions of people that no matter what they're facing, a Samaritan will face it with them.
