My Story

It goes without saying, supporting local charities is so important. I am therefore thrilled to be raising money on behalf of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and I am very grateful for your help in doing this.

Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a dedicated Helicopter Emergency Medical Service in Lincs & Notts. They deliver the equivalent of an A&E department to the scene of an emergency and can transport patients to the most appropriate hospital or Major Trauma Centre for their needs in as little as 8 minutes. It costs £8 million per year to keep the helicopter flying and the critical care cars operational but they receive no government funding so rely purely on the generosity of the public.

On a personal note, this will be my biggest sporting challenge to date and one that I am very excited about. Securing a place at the London Marathon has given me a real boost as I now have a purpose to my training and an end goal to aim at. As arguably the most iconic marathon in the world, it is also a once in a lifetime opportunity to take part.

Many thanks again to everyone who has donated – wish me luck!
