Tom Richmond (Race No 3303)
My Story
On the 2nd January 2023 our wonderful niece Audrey was born at Coventry University Hospital. In contrast to the rest of the Richmond family she arrived exceptionally early, 11 weeks to be exact, weighing just 1 lb 15oz.
She spent the first 74 days of her life at University Hospital Coventry, and Warwick Hospital, receiving great care from the Neonatal teams. After many ups and downs in her early life she is now a smiling and laughing 15-month old, enjoying taking her first steps.
In less than 10 days I'll be running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Fetal Medicine and Neonatal teams who supported my brother, John, and sister-in-law, Helen, through this incredibly difficult time.
To add to the challenge, I will be reprising one half of the Richmond brothers' fancy dress outfits from 2010 and doing it dressed as a Super Mario brother. I have done marathons before but with limited training time and the addition of fancy dress I expect this to be the toughest marathon yet.
If you can, please consider donating, no amount is too small.
With many thanks
Tom
