My Story

I am sure every single person reading this has been directly or indirectly affected with this cruel disease called Cancer.

I want you to think about that special someone whilst reading this because that's who i'll be doing the marathon for, each and everyone one of your special people....including mine.

I have two very special people i'll be running for who have been awfully affected by this disease. Firstly, my grandad who sadly passed away a few years ago who suffered from bowel cancer and secondly my nan who bless her has had the worst couple of years wished on anyone. After coming through the other side of breast cancer, she then got an extremely rare kind of cancer, aswell as dealing with Pancreatic Cancer along side this.

During this time, MacMillan have been there and helped more than I could ever ask for, their kind hearted staff and their life saving facilities have quite literally saved my Nan's life. I can truly say they really really do care about each and everyone one of their patients.

By raising money for Macmillan you are not only raising awareness and support for the people who suffer from cancer but you are helping them continue to:

  • train more nurses to give round the clock care
  • Support over 150,000 people access the benefits and support they need when they go through the cancer treatment
  •  obtain more volunteers who are solely funded by 98% of their donations

Without this fundraising they wouldn't be able to help the people we are all thinking of right now and I certainly wouldn't be able to call my nan tomorrow just to ask how her day was!

Thanks all for reading and I am thoroughly grateful for each and every one of your donations.
