My Story

I’m going to be running the London Marathon on April 21st in honour of Fi and to support FEES Fund

Fiona, ‘Fi’, was my wonderful and quirky niece whose life was tragically cut short when she died in a car accident aged 17.

Out of the unbearable sadness a momentum built for something positive to help keep her sparkle and energy present into the future.

FEES fund is a registered charity that finds ways to give opportunities to young people to be the best of themselves. It encourages perseverance and resilience when things get tough.

I’m going to be digging very deep into this ‘perseverance and resilience’ as I – the archetypical ‘couch potato’ - attempt this for the first time on the same day that I ‘officially become an OAP!

Therefore, any support you could give me by donating to FEES Fund would be really appreciated and, most importantly, will give disadvantaged young people the opportunities and experiences they would not otherwise have.

To help me through the 26.2 miles I will be thinking of my friends and family who are no longer with us after suffering from Cancer. As well as asking for donations to FEES fund, I will be making a donation to cancer research.

Thank you for your support.
