Warren Chambers
My Story
Dear friends, family, countrymen. Lend me your ears…
We are excited to share the news that I will be running the 2024 London Marathon! Although this will be his second time, this is not just any London Marathon, it is the London Marathon which coincides with my 50th birthday on 21st April 2024. So, while there will be no traditional party, with booze and food, there will be plenty to celebrate, and we’d love you to be involved. Here’s how, it’s as easy as one, two, three…
1. DONATE: My chosen charity is the National Autistic Society. As a SENCO at Bromstone Primary School, Warren closely supports children with diagnoses of autism. There are also several diagnoses of autism in the family, so this cause is close to his heart. Warren was delighted to be offered one of the National Autistic Society’s London Marathon places, to raise vital funds to transform lives and change attitudes. The charity supports over 700,000 autistic people and their families in the UK, provides training to companies on being more autism-friendly and campaigns for improved rights. Warren plans to raise £3000 and you can help him reach his target by donating whatever you can afford. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly to the National Autistic Society and create positive change.
2. JOIN: I will be hosting a series of fun fundraising events – let’s call them
FUN-draising events. Kicking off in January 2024, there will be quizzes, raffles and birthday tombolas. This way you can support Warren, raise money for a great cause, show off your general knoweldge and try your luck, all at the same time. What’s not to love? Details of FUN-draising events to follow in due course.
3. CHEER: On 21st April 2024 you can cheer Me on virtually (there’s an app for that) or in person. Your encouragement will keep him going when the going gets tough. Details of London Marathon points of interest and Warren’s running number to follow in due course.
After donating, please share my fundraising page and spread the word by sharing the link with your friends, family, colleagues, and social media networks. The more people who know about the National Autistic Society, the greater the impact we can make together.
Thank you for donating, joining and cheering.
Cheers!
