Milestones of Transformation: How Quitting Smoking Fuels My Enham Trust Marathon Story

I'm running the 2024 TCS London Marathon for #TeamEnham to empower over 6,000 disabled people every year to live, work and enjoy life!  Your support will make a world of difference.

A little about me: I used to be a smoker for 18 years. It wasn't until last year-2022 that I decided to turn things around. I vividly remember telling myself, "If not now, then when?" That's when I signed up and ran for my first marathon last September 2023. It was during my 32-kilometer mark, when I hit that dreaded wall, that something truly transformative happened. I noticed a lady with a shirt that read, "Imagine the world without cancer." It was then that I made a promise to myself that my next run would be one with a purpose.

Why Enham Trust? Because often, we find ourselves complaining about life's minor inconveniences, without truly understanding the challenges faced by those with disabilities. Enham Trust tirelessly works towards ensuring that individuals with disabilities can lead lives that are as normal and fulfilling as possible.

Your contribution will help Enham Trust in their vital mission. Every step of this marathon will hold a special place in my heart, knowing that I'm running with a purpose for the London Marathon 2024.

Enham Trust is a disability charity based in Hampshire, England. Over the last 100+ years, more than 250,000 disabled people from all walks of life have been supported and empowered to live, work, and enjoy life...their way!

Whether it's through community and wellbeing sports and activities, supported employment in Enham's social enterprises, or the independence of an accessible home, Enham Trust are determined that disability will never act as a barrier to leading a full life.

Please show your support and give disabled people the opportunities they deserve.  Thank you so much!
